The song goes, "Everybody's workin' for the weekend...". Well, I have to be quite honest, I hate the weekends--they do damage for the diet minded indivdual such as myself. I just find that because my schedule is differet (read: no schedule) my ability to control my cravings and eating habits goes out the door. I have got to figure a way to stay focused so that I don't de-rail myself by Saturday afternoon and have total diet appocolypse by Sunday afternoon. I must recomit to eating right, making healthy choices and just saying no when I pass by the bags of Mini-stroop wafflen in Trader Joes!
With that said, I was able to knock another half-pound off for this morning's offical weigh in. I'm now working on the second 10% of my starting weight. I read recently, that most people lose steam on their diets after 12 weeks. I started week 11 today, and I think this is true. I don't want to quit, but it's getting hard to really stay as focused as I was in the beginning and I know that as my body adjusts to its new life it will be harder to drop pounds. I know I can do it, but I just have to really remind myself a lot more.
So, hi-ho, hi-ho, it's out to work I go....to drop the pounds, and pound the grounds, hi-ho-hi-ho!
